Music.Art.Equality
I am a musician, artist, and entrepreneur with a passion for bringing people together through the arts.
My mother has always said: “Art heals.”
And I agree with her.
A friend once told me that even though I was losing my sight, I had great Vision.

ORIGIN:
Part of my blindness journey has been trying to cope with the fear that occasionally bubbles up about possibly going totally blind someday.
A few years back, I found myself periodically stopping on the sidewalk to look at flowers and gardens, and I would end up staring at them for a very long time. It was as if I was trying to memorize the beauty.
I took a bunch of photos and then I decided to take one image of one lily and do a series of paintings based on that one image. Hence the name, OneLily.
FierceWomxn: Portraits of Possibility
(More portraits at FierceWomxn.com)
The FierceWomxn portrait series started as a way to honor strong women leaders from every industry but it quickly morphed into a platform for these women leaders to share their stories to inspire young women and girls.
The platform grew to include live events, the FierceWomxnFridays interview series, and the Bring Your Strength men as allies framework.
HOW IS MY ART & MUSIC CONNECTED TO THE COMMUNITY & LARGER SOCIAL CONTEXT?
I have created art and educational programming for years focused on racial equity and gender equity. The goal has always been to find new frameworks and paradigms for meaningful change and progress toward equality & equity for all.
